The Business Life For Over 80 Years
China’s largest online and overall retailer JD.com is once again leading the way into the future. In early 2019 JD.com with the approval of the government made a drone delivery to a school in Indonesia. The test flight delivered backpacks and books to students at MIS Nurul Falah Leles Elementary School. The supplies were part of a larger philanthropic donation to the school.
Indonesia is a Republic made up of more than 17,000 islands, and delivery by drones will be a huge leap towards providing modern day service to the country. JD.com has been delivering goods to rural China for two years. The ability to deliver not only commercial goods but also medical and humanitarian supplies, often on the same day as ordered, will offer a transformative change for many areas. Jon Liao, Chief Strategy Officer at JD.com, expressed what a privilege it was to contribute to this moment in the history of Indonesia. Refer to This Article for additional information.
At this year’s CES in Las Vegas, Nevada visitors were able to see many of JD’s new developments. People could see the automated plant JD.com uses as well as its delivery drones and robot driverless vehicles which deliver packages in two Chinese cities, Changsha and Hohhot.
In the recent company’s blog “JD Delivery Stations Get Smart Ahead Of CES Debut”, JD has talked about the launch of two smart delivery stations in the cities of Changsha and Hohhot, strengthening the e-commerce giant’s autonomous logistics capabilities.
2,000 packages a day can be delivered by the driverless vehicles which can navigate through traffic, observe traffic signals and avoid obstacles. The drones and delivery vehicles do not use fossil fuels, another way that JD.com protects the environment.
JD.com uses a new technology to make sure that all packages are delivered to the right customers. Facial recognition software is used to identify people so that the packaging area can only be accessed by the intended customers.
JD is at the forefront of the latest technologies involved in the process of packaging and delivering products to its customers.
